In a move to expand its fleet by nearly 15 percent, Andrews Logistics
Inc. (ALI) has acquired 40 new Peterbilt trucks.
“Besides offering state-of-the-art safety features, our new trucks also
meet all of the EPAs 2010 emissions requirements, which means theyll
help ensure clean air at the same time they make the roads safer”
According to J. Darron Eschle, CEO of Andrews Logistics, the new
vehicles feature anti-rollover stability systems and anti-lock brakes,
making the new power units a major enhancement to ALIs ongoing safety
initiatives.
Upgrading our fleet is part of our continuing efforts to improve safety
for our customers and drivers alike, Eschle said. Equipment thats
outfitted with the latest and most advanced safety features on the
market helps us ensure we provide the quality and error-free services
our customers demand.
ALI also purchased 35 single-compartment stainless-steel tank trailers
and 45 multi-compartment aluminum tank trailers. The stainless-steel
trailers include tandem-axle roll stability support systems, and the
aluminum trailers feature full-length overturn protection, anti-lock
brakes and anti-rollover stability systems.
Besides offering state-of-the-art safety features, our new trucks also
meet all of the EPAs 2010 emissions requirements, which means theyll
help ensure clean air at the same time they make the roads safer, he
added.
ALIs safety and quality standards have gained the company award-winning
recognition in recent months. In May, Walmart Transportation named ALI
as the Sams Club Truckload Carrier of the Year. The award is based on
key performance indicators, such as customer service, operational
excellence and the ability to offer creative solutions.
Also this year, the National Tank Truck Carriers association (NTTC)
recognized ALI for outstanding safety achievement in five categories,
including the organizations top prize, the Outstanding Performance
Trophy.
