As many as 840 load carriers with essentials and fuel arrived in the Kashmir Valley during the last 24 hours up to 2 p.m. today. As per the information received from the Jammu & Kashmir Government, these included 206 loaded with rice, 24 with sugar, 34 with flour, 12 with sheep, 37 with fresh fruit, 7 with chicken and 319 with other commodities. Besides, 61 tankers with diesel, 32 with petrol, 35 with kerosene oil, 37 with LPG, 4 with milk and 32 empty trucks after offloading goods outside also reached the valley during the period.
Moreover, 1047 trucks and tankers left the Valley for different destinations in the country during the past 24 hours up to 2 p.m. today. These include 384 trucks loaded with fruits, 32 with vegetables, 134 with other commodities and 497 empty tankers left the Valley after off-loading the fuel.
